Chris Ball, co-owner of Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat, is also the owner and manager of The Antiques Company located in Bali.
Chris and The Antiques Company have been intimately involved in the interior design of the Luxury Lodges and have supplied much of the furniture throughout the Retreat – as shown in all the photos above.
The Antiques Company manufactures high-quality, custom-made teak furniture and has been trading for 30 years, operating from a 3-acre warehouse site that houses their finishing and packing departments as well as a container depot from where they export to over 30 countries worldwide.
They have enjoyed being one of the industry's 'best kept secrets' for many years and their reputation is unequalled. Their furniture is all hand-made, the quality unique and the service unparalleled. They employ a dedicated team of skilled workers – many having worked for there for over 20 years – who bring traditional skills learned from generations of Indonesian craftsmen. The products created by this artisan skill need to be seen and experienced.
Using sustainably grown new teak wood, The Antiques Company also pioneered the market for recycled teak, which produces some of their most beautiful products.
Their other key skill is taking their clients' own designs and returning them a fully bespoke product. The Antiques Company doesn't generally have stock lines – every customer has different needs and requirements and they work from your brief. Be it classic or contemporary, large or small, they can make it.
