We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary here and it is a very beautiful and romantic getaway. We stayed in Satinash which was exceptionally well appointed. Very clean and modern and surrounded by glass with a secluded, private outlook into the rainforest. Wake up to a bird symphony. It was very relaxing and a memorable experience.
barbh329 (Satinash, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
Thank you for an amazing stay. There could be no better place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Numinbah Lodge at the top of the retreat was outstanding. We loved the pool, the chorus of the cicadas and frogs, the lush rainforest, the birdlife and the privacy. The service by the staff was also outstanding. Thankyou for a wounderful time.
Andrew and Anne (Numinbah Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
Thank you for providing such a breathtaking experience, the scenery is a wonderful backdrop to the relaxing and timeless surrounds we were lucky enough to be immersed in. We will definitely recommend Crystal Creek to friends and family.
Katrina and Blake (Pandorea, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
We cannot thank you enough for the amazing time spent at the Pandorea Glass Terrace Bungalow. Everything was exactly as we had viewed it on the internet. The meals we received were outstanding, along with the walks, the hammock over the creek and the peacefulness of the surroundings. Our time here has restored us and many thanks to Mark and his amazing staff.
Our wonderful son and daughter-in-law sent us here for our 50th birthdays and we will never forget our time here. We very highly recommend this excellent retreat to anybody that wishes to relax and recuperate.
George and Ruth (Pandorea, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
We stayed in the Tamarind Bungalow for 3 nights. The room was lovely – gorgeous rainforest view from the bed, the spa, the lounge, the deck, the kitchen. Felt very private. We did see 1 or 2 couples through the trees, heading down to the creek to the walking tracks, but otherwise felt completely alone, which was ideal. I think this is the only bungalow that you can actually see from the walking tracks (if you crane your neck and squint through the trees a bit), so having the least private bungalow and still feeling very private really says something about the peace and tranquillity of this place.
We had very early starts each day – the rooms do not have blinds or curtains (although they do provide eye masks), so we were up with the sun.
The walks were all so beautiful – more strenuous than we expected, but we needed that after indulging in all the beautiful meals provided. We had 2 delicious dinners, one bbq hamper, and 3 breakfast hampers. Too much food by far. I would suggest 1 bbq hamper would cater to 2 nights if you are not big eaters. The food was all delicious and it was so nice to not have to go out to a restaurant.
So awesome to see that they had a waste bin, a recycling bin and also a compost bin in our room to minimise rubbish.
I would also recommend making use of the bikes at the games room. We took a ride out to the main road along the beautiful country road – such a lovely area.
Highly recommend this place. We will be back to try the mountai (Tamarind, a Creekside Spa Cabin)n view lodge next time.
The most perfect stay for our honeymoon. Everything was just beautiful for us to relax and enjoy every moment. We will be telling everyone about our stay here and would recommend a trip here anytime. Thank you.
Alice and Ben (Numinbah Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
10 out of 10! A perfect way to unwind and celebrate our 10 year anniversary.
P.S. We will be back for another stay.
Dean and Cam Welton (Springbrook Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
We absolutely enjoyed our honeymoon as we were surrounded by extra beautiful fauna and flora. The service was great and the amenities and facilities available really improved the overall experience. We will be back.
Chris and Suzy Evans (Booyong, a Rainforest Canopy Bungalow)
Spent two nights in a Luxury Mountain View Lodge celebrating our anniversary and we were both blown away by our room and the amazing view – we felt like we were on some tropical remote island high up in the trees. The solar heated pool was perfect for the warm weather we had – the amenities provided in the room were just what we needed to enjoy cooking lunch and dinner and then the last night we got the beef massaman meal provided which was really nice. Staff were lovely on arrival and left you to it throughout your stay giving you plenty of privacy.
Thank you and see you again soon.
My husband and I spend a week and found the accommodation setting wonderfully secluded. The meals were tasty and abundant, the girls helpful and friendly (nothing was too much trouble – thanks Shelley and Kathrine!). A wonderful place to wind down. The only 'not so good' feedback would be that the accommodation may have benefited from a coat of paint on the walls/doors to cover scuff marks and dirty areas. Other than that, the place was perfect in every way!
Crystal Creek has by far been the most beautiful getaway. The Mountain View Lodge was incredible. I would advise everyone to come here. Not to mention my best friend asked me to marry him on the beautiful rainforest walk. We never want to leave.
Amy and Jared (Lamington Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
As probably the youngest couple to stay let alone afford this place as a new couple we feel as though we had set our standards waayyyy to high! Accompanied to the front door, complimentary bottle of wine, robes, slippers! Really felt like you had your own secluded slice of rainforest. Improvements.....maybe a flying fox from the top of the lookout, but that might just be the young'n coming out in me :)
We visited Crystal Creek for 2 nights recently for a weekend of rest and relaxation and it absolutely didn't disappoint. We arrived after dark on Fri night and were promptly whisked away in the buggy with our luggage to our cabin - we stayed in the Tamarind Bungalow. It was Divine – everything had been thought of! Fluffy bathrobes and slippers, drop in 2 person spa with a gorgeous rainforest outlook. Full kitchen and hooded BBQ meant we could indulge in anything we wanted food-wise without restriction on facilities. We had a breakfast basket for both morning – very generously sized! We also upgraded to the Gourmet Beef Hamper for 1 night! Wow! So much food we couldn't eat it all and absolutely worth it. The bed was comfy and lovely pillows. We utilized the stereo for music during our stay, borrowed DVDs from the hundreds available in the games room. We also visited the glow worms (amazing!) and lay in the hammocks over the creek, both of which were no more than a 5 min stroll from our cabin. The whole stay was absolute perfection – everything is thought of and although the whole retreat was fully booked, we never saw another couple. The cabins are so private, it's lovely to be in your own relaxed bubble. We will absolutely we back, hopefully annually for our anniversary xx
PhilKym (Tamarind, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
My wife and I took the weekend package. The accommodation was gorgeous, very private and totally relaxing. The food was also excellent and the awesome DVD library assisted our descent into total bliss. I would thoroughly recommend this place for a couples retreat.
This was such an incredible place to be for our honeymoon. Food, staff, serenity, all of it was absolutely amazing and we cannot thank you all enough for creating such a beautiful place amongst the stunning nature. We will most definitely be coming back. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Jack and Bethany (Carabeen, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
I am the luckiest woman on earth. I got abducted by rose point from work on Friday and followed a trail of hints and history from Toowoomba to Crystal Creek. WOW! We arrived to candles, rose petals, an amazing paradise “Tambourine”. Thank you CCRR team.
Stephen and Tammy (Tambourine Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
I can't recommend this place highly enough. Beautiful private accommodation, with spa, fireplace and a full kitchen for self catering. Stunning scenery and amazing walks. We went for a wander down to the creek one night and checked out the glowworms (amazing!). It was too cold for swimming when we went but there are little hammocks over the creek to lay in too.
Just a really stunning and relaxing weekend away. There's even a little orchard where we picked some oranges and mandarins for fresh juice with our breakfast. They've absolutely thought of everything. We'll be returning here for sure!
What a gem. We spent 2 nights here at the Kamala rainforest cabin. With a gas fire and two person spa we didn't leave the cabin from arrival to departure. The weather was stunning and this cabin gets sun all day on the deck. We had one dinner and two breakfast hampers all in the fridge when we arrived so there was no disturbances. We really cannot fault it other than an outdoor heater would have been nice! We will definitely be back.
Mustang74 (Kamala, a Rainforest Canopy Bungalow)
My husband and I spent 3 nights at Crystal Creek Rainforest Resort staying in Satinash. I had high expectations because of the price and I was not disappointed. We opted to self cater for our stay and just picked up our supplies in Murwillumbah prior to heading up to Crystal Creek. The staff at the resort were friendly and respectful of our privacy. Our Bungalow was very private and the view was amazing! We can't wait to go back!
Renee F (Satinash, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
Just amazing! My partner and I stayed here for a couple of nights for our anniversary. Blown away! Such a beautiful, private relaxing place to stay. Biggest wow factor! This is our new favourite. We will definitely be back at the end of the year :). Great service too!
We booked one of the Glass House Bungalows. What a great experience! Very private. Perfect for couples who wants to escape from it all and come closer to nature. All stress disappears, just sit back and enjoy! "No worries" as they say in Australia :-)
My partner and I stayed here recently and we were taken away by its beauty and the incredible rainforest that surrounded us. The staff were amazing and made us feel welcomed, they also helped with the proposal set up that my partner had organised for me which was honestly the most magical moment of my life and one I'll never forget. We could not recommend this place highly enough, for a romantic, child-free getaway in your own private paradise! Thank you so much!
We had the most magical stay. You have a beautiful slice of Australia, we are in love. Perfection! Thank you.
Tina and David (Cedar Lodge, the Luxury Rainforest Lodge)
We had an amazing time and got engaged. So happy and thankful for everything. It is so beautiful here and we have loved every minute of it.
Cass and Chris (Pandorea, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
Absolutely perfect!!!!! From the warm welcome, delivery to our cabin in the golf buggy, explanation of our cabin features, and resort facilities, everything was divine! We came here to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary and it was the ideal place. It is so private, that you hardly know there are other guests. The attention to detail is every where. The delivered homemade meals, that you heat up when it is convenient to you are just perfect, as was the picnic lunch that includes lots of locally made products. Not to mention the location, which is the best our Country has to offer. You feel so rejuvenated! We will definitely be back!!!
Me and my husband came here for our 1 year anniversary, and the entire stay, from start to finish, was amazing...
The drive into the property was filled with nature's beauty and we knew that we were in for a great stay, feeling immediately relaxed. Reception was very helpful and detailed about their amenities available.
We then went to our room, a glass terrace, and one way to put it was WOW. Being completely surrounded by rainforest with no one being able to see in was such a treat. The room was more than comfortable, filled with tealights and fire wood and the bathroom was amazing, used the bathtub every day! The perfect size for our 5 night stay.
The food they provided was delicious. We got the breakfasts every morning which I definitely think is worth getting. It's delicious and sure beats the heck out of weetbix. We got 2 dinners, which left us bursting at the pant line, special mention goes to the chicken and mushroom stroganoff, that was extra tasty! The other nights I just took my own pre made meals up, but their dinners were much more substantial.
We did all the walks except for the boundary walk. I don’t think I am the world's fittest person by any means, and boy was that lookout walk exhausting, but the view was definitely worth it. Also take some time to go and checkout the glow worms for something a little different.
We did our own picnic lunch in the orchard which was beautiful as well.
The whole place is stunning, can't fault anything about it. If you’re looking to get away from a busy lifestyle then do here !!!!
Room Tip: The Pandorea has it has its own car space right next to the room, unlike others
KayGee22 (Pandorea, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
Our last night here comes with the urge to never leave. This place is absolutely stunning. The room, location, food, amenities etc are perfection. This was just what we needed to recoup from our busy lives.
Pete and Keira (Pandorea, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
Rowan and I only had a short amount of time for our honeymoon – and we are so happy that we chose CCRR! The service was outstanding, the room immaculate (I could not fault the cleanliness of the room ... even as The Health Inspector!). The food was excellent, and there was way too much!! Everything about the room and food was decadent – no expense spared.
I can honestly say that our stay was The Best Holiday and Accommodation That We Have Ever Experienced!
We sat on our balcony and listened to the waterfalls and birds for hours. The fire set the mood for our lovely honeymoon. We had a couples massage in our room, which relaxed us into our holiday. We went on two hikes, saw the glow worms, watched a few movies, played ping pong for the championships of the world (I won!). Just amazing.
I would go back in a heart beat!
Thank you for the best honeymoon that we could have asked for.
Courtney and Rowan (Tamarind, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
Wonderful location. The walks were scenic and the hammocks over the creek an experience to remember. Mark and his team were very accommodating and made every effort to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We stayed in Cedar Lodge and especially enjoyed the heated plunge pool.
Dianne B (Cedar Lodge, the Luxury Rainforest Lodge)
This was our second stay at Crystal Creek and again we were not disappointed!
On our first stay we chose one of the Mountain View Luxury Lodges, which we loved. This time around we chose to try the Rainforest Luxury Lodge, or Cedar Lodge. This Lodge was nestled into the rainforest and was amazingly private.
On arrival we were met by the lovely Amanda, who explained everything we needed to know about the Lodge and the Resort itself. When we arrived at the Lodge it was gorgeous!
The view from each and every window was of lush rainforest, be it in the lounge room, laying in bed, relaxing in the bath or chilling by the pool. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and serenity.
The Lodge provided everything you could need. With the full kitchen and appliances, coffee machine, sound system, flat screen TV, wifi internet, mozzie coils and repellent and even an umbrella at the front door for those wet days.
We did unfortunately have one minor problem with our Lodge on arrival which the staff responded to very quickly. The pool heating system had broken down and with us checking in on a Saturday afternoon it was sadly not able to be fixed while we were there. Although we were disappointed, as this was one of the main reasons we'd chosen this Lodge, the management at Crystal Creek automatically offered us ample compensation. We really appreciated it.
We will most definitely be back again!! I wonder which Lodge we'll try next time??
GTR32 (Cedar Lodge, the Luxury Rainforest Lodge)
My wife and I stayed 2 nights in the Booyong Rain Forest Canopy Bungalow and were extremely impressed. ... Booyong offers a car space right in front of the villa with was handy to unpack all our gear. Booyong is a split level with full kitchen, balcony, lounge room, upstairs bedroom and bathroom. The view from Booyong overlooks a rainforest and is amazing. On arrival Booyong had the heater already basting away which was nice as being April it was starting to be cold. The fireplace was set up ready to throw a match in and have a roaring fire. The Bungalow had an awesome feel about it, it was so relaxing. The windows are enormous and offer views from any point in the villa. ... We opted to have dinner supplied the first night and breakfast on both mornings … These were delicious and supplied ready to throw on the BBQ or the stove top. Quick and easy to cook. ... On the second night we had bought our own steak and salad which worked out cheaper. ... Both nights we made our way to the Glow Worms which is about a 5 min walk from reception. The Glow worms were spectacular, the best I have seen on the Gold Coast.
I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone after a romantic weekend away, or just to get away from life for a day or two. Free wifi is supplied in the rooms.

Thanks for the hospitality and sharing with us the beauty of this place. It surely was a magical Honeymoon.
Thomas and Simone (Booyong, a Rainforest Canopy Bungalow)
We stayed in the Springbook Mountain View lodge for 2 nights. The view was magnificent and the silence divine. The lodge was beautifully appointed. The DVD collection one of the best and the walks surrounding the property unique and beautiful.
We would self cater next time as you had to cook your own breakfast and the dinners were reasonably basic. The sun was out and being March there was still a fair amount of heat in the sun, the plunge pool still remained very chilly. It's solar heated, and we feel it needs gas heating to make it usable. Staff were excellent. We will be back!
Diotima_Aus (Springbrook Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat is Perfect in every way. Just Arrive and Relax in the privacy of your Bungalow. Wake up to spectacular views and the sounds of the rainforest. Take an outdoor shower, wander to the rock pools for a refreshing dip and relax in the hammocks suspended above the falls. Enjoy beautiful rainforest walks throughout the day and visit the Glow worms when they shine blue at night. The meals provided in the packages are outstanding, and there is plenty of beautiful gourmet food proved in the meals. I would recommend ordering the meals they are delicious! The attention to detail in the service is outstanding. There is not a thing missed. Pick up your Lunch in a backpack or basket depending if you are heading the rock pools, orchard or any other nook you find on the property. And don't forget to select one of the beautiful timber walking sticks for your walk into the rainforest feeling like you are embarking on a "Lord of the Rings" adventure.
We were given a 3 night Chill Out Package by a lovely couple whose wedding we had in our garden. A beautiful peaceful place staying in Pandorea. This morning I did the Lookout Hike and returned by the Boundary Circuit. A good workout before breakfast.
Our meal last night was delicious.

We have had the most wonderful stay, just perfect! Everything we had hoped for and much more! We look forward to our next stay.
Mike and Lucy (Tamarind, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
My partner took me away for a surprise weekend for my birthday and he couldn't have picked a more perfect place.
I'm constantly on the go with work and training and this was the perfect distraction. We love doing some sort of fitness so the rainforest walks were nice. We picked the hardest one to do which was the lookout walk and took 1hr 40mins there and back but the view was worth it!
We had a couples massage, picnic provided and all meals provided. They deliver the food the day before so we got to cook it all up on either the BBQ or in the cabin on the gas stove. The food was amazing we had the beef curry (which wasn't too spicy), seafood hamper, chicken picnic and breakfast daily.
The whole cabin had surround sound which was good so could listen to the music in the bathroom while enjoying the massive spa bath! To put it in comparison my partner is over 6 foot and for once he fully fit!
My husband & I returned to Crystal Creek on the 26th March to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary as we stayed here for our Honeymoon. We didn't stay in the same cabin as last time (Creekside Spa) we thought we would stay in the Tamarind Bungalow – AMAZING I am so glad that we returned, you can't fault this place. If you are looking for relaxation, quite time, privacy etc this is the place for you. I would also recommend ordering their food – simply amazing better than most up market restaurants. We recommend this place to everyone.
lkmilan (Tamarind, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
The perfect place to kick back and relax. Waking up to the sound of the creek and view of the forest was sublime. We will be back, and we will miss the glow worms.
Shaun and Kate (Satinash, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
This was a truly beautiful, romantic accommodation! We were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a Luxury Mountain View Lodge complete with a bottle of Moet and rose petals decorating the lodge. The accommodation is truly luxurious and private, and as a nature lover, I loved essentially living in a 'glass cube' in the rainforest. Views were stunning and the sound of the rainforest was like listening to a relaxing nature sounds CD 24/7. I particularly loved the infinity edge pool overlooking the forest. And at night we were visited by a lot of gorgeous green tree frogs on the decking area! The glow worms are also worth a visit at night. Staff were also excellent and made our stay very comfortable.
A word of warning – we visited during a period of heavy and rather constant rainfall, and were grateful we had a four wheel drive to get in/out of the retreat as required when the local waterways flooded the roads a bit. Also, check the forecast before you go hiking. We dutifully sprayed our bodies and shoes with the deet spray thoughtfully provided by the retreat near reception, which worked to ward off leeches, until it poured and got washed off, despite the wet weather gear we were wearing.
Overall, I would recommend this retreat to anyone. One of the nicest places we have stayed. Even my partner, who is NOT as into nature as I am, adored it and would love to return!
Absolutely amazing!! Beautiful location, Enjoyed our stay at the Creekside Spa Cabin. Very tranquil. Staff are very friendly as well. 5-star rating.
Tristan and Melissa (Carabeen, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
What a beautiful location you have, the Glass Terrace Bungalow was fantastic, just what we envisaged. We loved every minute… and guess what? We got engaged!! Thanks for making the weekend the best it could possibly be.
Adam and Christine (Satinash, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
Absolutely incredible! My husband and I are here on our Honeymoon and we couldn't have asked for a better way to start married life together. This place is so beautiful and we can’t wait to come back! Thanks heaps!
Daniel and Courtney (Lamington Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
My boyfriend and I booked online for a romantic Valentine's Day weekend and we were beyond impressed with both the accommodation and the amazing staff at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat! From checking in to checking out, everything was a breeze! They had instructions on how to use everything in the lodges and a map for the walks which we found very useful! They also had picnic blankets and large industrial torches for the walks which was awesome. We stayed in the Lamington Mountain View Lodge and words cannot describe how beautiful it was! Extreme luxury and privacy. The rose petals and candles on arrival were a beautiful touch. The view was magical to say the least!!! You definitely will not regret your stay here. We are definitely coming back ☺️
kaeleighmckenzie (Lamington Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
Fantastic stay. We loved everything about the Retreat. Will highly recommend to our friends. Thank you so much!
Rich and Eva (Numinbah Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
I'm not in the habit of writing negative reviews – but even the pickiest of travellers would struggle to find fault here! The location is stunning, our cabin with the floor to ceiling glass around the bath was something to behold. Being able to drink chilled champagne while sitting in a hot bath surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest at dusk is not an experience you get just anywhere!
Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat was an amazing find, truly a needle in a haystack. We were needing to book a relaxing retreat at the last minute and were expecting to find only substandard accommodation in the lead up to Christmas & New Year. However this place is truly a gem and excellent value for money. Each bungalow has all the essentials for a quiet retreat that you hope for – a beautiful bedroom and bathroom as well as the small but special details added – a complimentary bottle of good red wine, chocolates and rose petals, that add that special romantic feel. We were made to feel very relaxed and welcomed the minute we arrived, by Mark the manager, who is very down to earth and personable. We would absolutely return and cannot recommend this property highly enough, to enjoy a relaxing escape from reality.
Was it all a dream? Seriously… Well done to you all here at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat. We absolutely LOVED it.
Justin and Julie (Springbrook Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
My husband and I chose to stay at Crystal Creek for our 10th wedding anniversary – and we were not disappointed!
We booked into a luxury lodge, the Numinbah. This lodge was PERFECT. Numinbah Lodge is the highest of all lodges and offered absolute privacy. The view from the room was stunning. We loved how the scenery felt like part of your room – while relaxing in bed, sharing a meal, enjoying a swim or even having a long bath.
The lodge included an infinity edge solar heated pool, which was surprisingly deep. The solar heating made the pool lukewarm. On our second day it was mostly overcast which did make a difference – but we made the most of the bath instead!
We had ordered dinner and breakfast hampers and had them delivered to the room prior to our arrival. The food was delicious. We supplemented with our own food and used both the kitchen facilities and the BBQ, which were all quite easy to use. Having a Nespresso machine in your room was also good – although I had trouble working out which pod was stronger.
The lighting in the lodge was very well planned. From having down lights around the lodge and up lights recessed into the flooring, to a coloured light in the pool and up lights on the surrounding gardens and tree. The outdoor and garden lighting gave a real depth of view in the dark.
I loved how the retreat owners have thought of everything. From umbrellas in the main carpark and at your front door for those wet days to a cupboard stocked with sunscreen, mosquito repellent, coils and more.
One of my favourite memories from our stay was the smell of the amenities – lemon myrtle. The little soaps gave off an amazing scent!
It is also worth noting that the room has roll down blinds on many of the windows which dull the sunlight in the early morning. And the toilet now has a door :)
Room Tip: Numinbah & Springbrook are the highest, and most private, of the mountain view lodges, but also the oldest (still like new though)
