We stayed in the luxury rainforest lodge. When you arrive at the property, the drive up to reception is quite long, you drive past all of the cabins on your way to reception. When you arrive at the end of the driveway, park on your left and the reception building is opposite the undercover parking (I mention this as signage isn't billboard like). That said, limited signage is ok, as you are in a rainforest not on a strip in vegas. The reception area may be unattended, but you just need to press the button to have someone come to you. The games room in the main lobby is a great idea, and it has a coffee machine as well. The cabin was a home away from home, masterful architecture and spotless on the inside. Just check out my photos - simply incredible. You order your food when you book, and it is a homely meal. Very tasty and hits the spot so you can sit back, relax and enjoy everything about the cabin and rainforest. When you go for a walk around the rainforest, do go to reception first and spray yourself with insect repellent. It can get quite humid on the walk, but take a dip in the creek to cool off (take a towel). This is one of the best places I have ever stayed at.

If you are looking for an amazing getaway, Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat is simply the best. Great place to relax & reconnect. We both just loved our entire stay. Meal baskets are very nice and easy to prepare at your own time. Private and secluded Villas that look out through wall to ceiling glass. Private infinity swimming pool, and outdoor deck. BBQ for cooking outdoors. Internet and phone reception can be limited, which I think was an advantage to hang out and focus on each other.
Mark (Numinbah Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
I have been fortunate enough to stay in some really very lovely hotels, but Crystal Creek has just taken the top spot for best place I have ever stayed!
We had a Mountain View villa with private pool, Tambourine Lodge. The pictures do not do it justice. It has been extremely well thought through and has been finished to an exemplary standard.
Sadly the weather was awful during our stay, being unseasonably cold and heavy rain, so we didn’t even venture out of our oasis of luxury! We bought supplies from the local town (about 25min drive away), watched a film on the HUGE TV, borrowing from massive DVD library, and snuggled up with a log fire. This place is expensive, yes, but oh so very, very worth it. I would not hesitate to recommend it. It truly is heaven on earth!

Crystal Creek was such a beautiful stay, for 3 nights was absolutely perfect. So generous with the food, it is definitely more then enough!! Recommendation to Pavlos, for airport transfers was amazing, he was so helpful from the flight to the retreat allowing us to stop on the way. Perfect stay !! We can’t fault it (Maybe some tomato sauce ;))
Michelle (Tamborine Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
This place exceeded all expectations. Totally private, peaceful and secluded amongst the most tranquil setting. From the minute you arrive the serenity begins. Our mountain view lodge was outstanding. Check in was faultless and getting to our villa was simple and effortless. On walking in we were gobsmacked at the luxury on show. From the kitchen to the bathroom the views are fantastic. Looking out to the private plunge pool with a perfect backdrop was just perfect. We decided to take all our own food and cater for ourselves. So glad we did this as it added to the privacy and we could work on our own timeline. The private spa bath was essential and we can not fault a thing. We did the lookout hike, which we loved, but used the rest of our time to relax and rejuvenate. Already dreaming about going back.
Ashleigh (Lamington Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
Absolutely loved our stay! The bungalow exceeded our expectations, super roomy with amazing views of the rainforest. Heated floors and towel rack in the bathroom and the fireplace added extra comfort. Well stocked kitchen, has everything you could possibly need. Rainforest was absolutely beautiful and the walks were alot of fun. The orchard was my personal favourite, so peaceful. We only bumped into one other couple upon arrival and that was it! Staff were friendly and helpful upon arrival/delivering food/leaving. We didn’t want to leave! Definitely will be back :)
Alana (Booyong, a Rainforest Canopy Bungalow)
Absolutely fantastic location. We enjoyed the peaceful silence at Cedar Lodge. Our tummies are overwhelmed with all the good food. Service was fantastic. Great selection of gobbling bush turkeys. Thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon delight at the hammocks. Will be back for more back rubs.
Lots of love, your bush pals.

We had the most perfect mini moon. Numinbah Lodge is a slice of heaven on earth. Food and service was divine and accommodation was incomparable. Will be telling everybody we know bout this haven.
Hayley and Harry (Numinbah Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
Perfect for a couple of days away from the cities, amazing view from the room and big spa bath with a 180˚ view of the rainforest, very private rooms. Nice walking tracks easy to reach from your chalet. Nice service but no restaurant or bars around.
A wonderful time celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We feel grateful we are able to enjoy this beautiful spot. We have done every walk listed and loved it. The facilities and service were excellent. “The sounds of the earth are like music”. Thank you.

The best place to spend my honeymoon with my new wife. We will definitely be back. It is so peaceful and relaxing and the staff are the best.
Peace and love from Mr and Mrs Daenaro (Quandong, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
Thank you for the wonderful service, we loved our stay and the views.
Richard and Kylie (Numinbah Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
The forest truly revitalizes and restores the soul. We loved the natural forest walks and marvelled at the old trees. Resting in the hammocks was a treat. We loved the privacy of the lodge with resident frog. Staff are warm, welcoming and professional. The food was excellent. Thank you so much.
The Ellises (Quandong, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
Crystal Creek was such a delight from the luxury accommodation to the extremely helpful and staff. I can't recommend highly enough. A must do addition to anyone's bucket list.
We spent 5 days in CCRR creekside cabins "carabeen" for our honeymoon. absolutely amazing!! lookout walk was well worth the effort, staff exceptional and food devine!
Perfect mini-moon getaway. Beautiful room and breathtaking location. Thank you.
The Olssons (Tamarind, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
We had a beautiful stay here for our part two honeymoon. The staff are amazing and so much attention to detail has been made. The lodge is beautifully appointed with a peaceful lookout. Will be back.

Amazing couple of nights away. We stayed in the Mountain Lodge and it was so modern , clean and comfortable. The food was also so delish !! You can relax or go for a wonderful adventure around the walking tracks !! We will be back ❤️
Absolutely stunning. Every little detail... the food, the welcome wine, the location, the staff... Will definitely come back.
We stayed just 2 nights in the Lamington Mountain Lodge last week. Exactly what we needed, a relaxing romantic getaway in a beautiful location. The lodge was very modern, clean and well appointed. All the staff we interacted with with friendly and never imposing. The dinner and breakfast we had were also fantastic. We live on the Gold Coast, and hope to visit again.
AussieTraveller1983, Surfers Paradise QLD (Lamington Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
We stayed in a glass terrace bungalow and it was lovely. Very clean and simple, yet comfortable and luxurious. Beautiful bathroom with heated floor and great view from the spa bath to the outdoor shower area. We played scrabble on the deck, listening to the whip birds and watching the bush turkeys scramble about below. The dinners delivered were really good, especially the Massaman Curry. Breakfasts yummy too and we used the Nespresso machine each day. Lots of good videos. We did the rainforest walk, too - steep but enjoyable.
Sonia B, Canberra ACT
What a magical, peaceful and serene retreat. Perfect for celebrating our 6th year in love and life together. Thank you Crystal Creek Retreat for creating such a place. Our heads are clear, our hearts are full and our minds have been free to wonder in awe.
Nicole and Alex (Springbrook Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
The fittings and technology are all top of the line and make the stay that much better to enjoy. Binoculars supplied in the lodges are nothing short of spectacular to view the wildlife and scenery. The sound system is Denon and pumps whatever tunes you bring. Stop wasting time reading about this place and get booking!
We stayed for 2 nights in Quandong. This place is amazing! The food was absolutely delicious. The room was so cosy and relaxing. The only bad part of our time here was having to leave. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.
Modern, luxurious, clean and practical accomodation. We stayed in the newly constructed mountain lodge and would highly recommend. Lots of space, beautiful view and modern decor. Fireplace was amazing. Dinner meals were delicious and there was more than plenty. Breakfast was basic but we were full from dinner so didn’t really mind. Rainforest walk is peaceful but does have a very steep incline. Be mindful of leaches, spray your shoes! The DVD collection is well worth a look. Couple massage was awesome and very relaxing. Really enjoyed this whole experience. We didn’t see one person except when we were checking in. Definitely worth the visit here. Thank you!

Not sure what we can say that hasn't already been said in other rave reviews. This place is absolutely spectacular in every way. We've stayed on two occasions, firstly in the Mountain View and then in the Glass Terrace. Just gorgeous! Private, romantic, and very picturesque. Food packages are glorious too. Just perfect.
Jesse H, Melbourne VIC
This was our first stay here and we were extremely impressed by the whole atmosphere here. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the additional facilities were fabulous. The lodge itself was absolutely breathtaking and we couldn’t get over what amazing views and architecture the lodge had. We loved all the wood! So many great options for the walks and even the orchard picnic area. Was a lovely and quiet and we had a great time relaxing in the hammocks. We will defiantly be back for a longer stay next time for sure. Was sad to leave such a lovely place.

To all who had an involvement in our stay: Thank you one and all! The accommodation was superb, the food and manner in which it was presented was new to us and suited us to a tee. The quality was excellent! The accommodation is beautiful, the vista is breathtaking. The peace and serenity to die for. We shall sing your praises to the highest.
Kevin and Phyllis (Lamington Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
I wish I could rate this place higher than the top rating. It's in a category of its own. We stayed in the Lamington Lodge in March 2018 and I have not stopped thinking about it. It was the perfect place for a honeymoon and I loved every part of what they had to offer. We had planned on going out a little, but those plans changed after we settled in. The accommodation and the hampers were beyond gorgeous. The only down side was that the infinity edge [pool] was not working properly and we thought it was not on because of the overcast skies (solar), so we didn't mention anything about it until toward the end of our stay. It actually works fine on cloudy days and the pump just needed to be reset. If you think something is not quite right do not be afraid to speak up. The staff were so quick to respond and so helpful when we did say something. This place is world-class... when I want a good holiday I don't think about going back to Thailand anymore. I think about this place!
Sue T (Lamington Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
The absolutely most relaxing awesome retreat we have ever been at. I will [sing] our praises of this place forever. Couldn’t fault a thing. The views and surrrounds are totally private and amazing beautiful.

We just spent the weekend in the Kamala bungalow, one of the Rainforest Canopy bungalows, and the setting was just magic. So secluded, if you didn't leave the bungalow you wouldn't know there were any others there and chances are, when you did leave your bungalow you wouldn't see anyone anyway. We loved our bungalow, the view of Springbrook Mountain was awesome and the spa bath in our bungalow was just amazing, sunken into the floor and surrounded on three sides by glass so you looked straight out into the rainforest. We got up early on both mornings and did the Lookout Walk and then the Boundary Walk, great exercise and so beautiful walking through the rainforest. The view from the Lookout is awesome, looking right over the Tweed Valley to the ocean. Each night we would wander down to the creek and lay in the hammocks in the dark looking at the glow worms on the banks lining the creek. Just magical! We also had a visitor one day, a big monitor wandered out of the bush, it would have been 5 foot long, head to tail. Then a few hours later a smaller one was there as well. Amazing! I can't recommend this place enough, it is just such a perfect place to relax and get away from everyone and everything, and just enjoy utter peace and quiet and the sounds of birds. It was so sad to have to leave but we are so grateful to have experienced it. We will be back!! Thanks so much CCRR for a sublime weekend!

There is little to suggest to the first-time visitor that the world class luxury rainforest retreat at the end of Upper Crystal Creek road used to be a run-down banana plantation, but that is the history of this lovely place. And it is a place for couples only, which is a welcome benefit for those who want absolute privacy and to be able to sit out on the balcony and hear nothing but whip birds and wind through the rainforest canopy.
Our 'Tamborine' lodge was the epitome of luxury with design highlights being the extensive use of glass walls, floor-to-ceiling windows and chunky wooden furniture pieces throughout. Whilst the two-person spa bath could have been a little more generous in proportions (or we could have been a little thinner, I suppose), the overall impression was that the choice of fittings and appliances has been thought through properly.
On the 'quirky-but-luxurious' list was the combined toilet-bidet with the wall-mounted control panel providing hours of fun exploring all the possible settings...
The property itself sits on the side of one of the walls of the crater formed by the erosion of the Tweed Shield volcano, of which Mount Warning is the obvious remnant. It is a place where a stick placed in the ground will grow, such is the quality of the soil and the rainfall rate. The property is managed through a mutual conservation agreement between the owners and conservation authorities, permitting all the rainforest walks and associated activities to be undertaken with proper conservation approaches ensured, which is the reason for its existence in the first place.
The activity options available are totally weather-dependent, but if it is not raining, the walks in the rainforest are not to be missed, followed by a dip in the rockpools and lay in the hammocks strung over the creek. The rocks in the creek bed played havoc on our urban girl and urban boy bare feet, so take some thongs or similar if you intend to go swimming. Take heed of the guidelines about protection against leeches. Enough said...
Overall, the retreat is not for the budget-conscious, the clock-watcher or those who cannot live without their mobile phone and the more time you spend listening to the birds in the trees and absorbing the ambience of the rainforest, the healthier you will feel after a stay here. Highly recommended!

Last year I won a free stay at Crystal Creek. It was beyond amazing and I couldn't be more thankful for the chance to stay here. I was just thinking back on the trip today and decided I needed to post a review!
This place was the perfect getaway. From the beautiful creek walks to your private villa. The rose petals scattered throughout and on the bed was the perfect little touch.
I couldn't recommend this place any more! I still to this day tell my friends about it! I just wish I could come back.

My partner and I stayed at Crystal Creek Carabeen cabin for 3 nights over the Australia Day long weekend and we fell in love instantly! From the serene drive to the retreat, to seeing all the beautiful animals, as soon as we walked into our cabin we knew we had found the most romantic and perfect accomodation, we are already talking about our next stay. Thank you to the wonderful hosts and for all the little things that made our stay just perfect! The bottle of wine, surround sound, the amazing bath and the little his and hers pressies. We loved the glow worms and we even saw some little frogs on our romantic walks at night! Crystal Creek you little beauty! Wish we could rate it 10 star! What a truly beautiful place. Cannot wait to go back!

I would give this place 99 out of 100. It is truly beautiful. We stayed in Numinbah lodge which is a mountain view lodge. The lodges are designed beautifully and are very well equipped to cater for yourselves. Plunge pool was big and deep and the perfect temperature. They don't service the rooms if you are there for just 2 nights which is actually nice because you are left to your own devices and don't get any knocks on the door when you are not expecting them. We went on the rainforest walk and swam in the swimming holes which was REFRESHING (code for very cold) but great to cool down after your walk. Kitchen in the room had everything. We used the BBQ for most meals. Even got a free bottle of wine and some lovely soaps upon departure. Can't say enough nice things. The only reason I don't give it 100/100 is that husband didn't think the bed was comfortable and the pillows and linen could be upgraded but very minor gripes, so much so that I am a little embarrassed even mentioning it when the place really is heaven.

This was a fourth stay and we love it more and more each time. The connection with nature also allows for a couple to truly relax and connect with each other. You can choose to travel about the immediate area or just stay put, either option works. As this was our fourth stay we ventured out to the Springbrook National Park to bush walk amongst the breath taking waterfalls and swim in beautiful water holes. We drove past a road named "The Garden of Eden" and that just sums up this whole magical area. We now treat ourselves to the top of line accommodation but if your budget does not allow it then the other options will not disappoint.

There is so much right about Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat and after trying really hard to scrutinise it I can only find one minor issue. I'll start with the one teeny issue and then recall the many truly great things that make this the best romantic holiday in Australia. The only negative about the retreat is that there are leeches in the rainforest, this is common in all rainforests around Australia so it shouldn’t be a surprise. But, I hate them so much that their existence in such a tranquil place makes me sad.
However, the near perfection of the luxury lodges is not in any way tarnished by the tiny blood suckers. Every lodge is perfectly appointed and privately positioned through the ancient northern NSW rainforest. Every need has been thought about and every comfort has been provided in the base rate for every lodge. Just the feeling of waking up amongst Millenia old harder trees and chirping birds blows my mind every time. The food that gets prepared and delivered every day is amazing home-cooked style delicacies that relax and satisfy. The views from each lodge are breathtaking yet unique and provide a sedating setting for all. The level of luxury in each lodge is akin of any 6 star resort or lodge and offers amazing value for money when compared to other similarly equipped stays. They set out tea light candles throughout the lodge before your stay, a free bottle of wine on arrival and a free games room with a fully stocked blu ray library. It is the kind of place that has to be seen to be believed and gets under your skin. I mean that in a good way not the leech getting under the skin kind of way :)

We only arrived yesterday afternoon for our 2 night stay but we are blown away! A very warm welcome from Katherine, check in done, then given directions to drive to the front door of our beautiful and so very private chalet. Undercover parking, important with the storms hanging around. Our air conditioned chalet is just beautiful, very well appointed, our very yummy dinner for last night and this mornings breakfast in the fridge, cold water, milk, a beautiful bottle of Moët already chilled. The bed is just so comfy, looking out to the rainforest, no need to close the blinds.
The bathroom also very beautiful and all amenities supplied. A large marble both and of course our own outdoor pool. I have gone to heaven!!!!
Very highly recommended.

So I’m not normally one to write reviews whether it’s good or bad, but I feel Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat really deserve one. My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights for Valentine’s Day. From the moment we drove onto the property to the time we left the retreat 2 days later we received nothing but a 10/10 service. We stayed in the luxury mountain view lodge and it was better then we could have ever imagined. We had dinner both nights while there and wow the food was absolutely amazing as well. There is not 1 thing I could fault about this place. My partner and I travel quite a lot and stay in some beautiful places and we both have agreed this has been one of our favourite. So I would like to say a massive thank you to CCRR for giving us a beautiful few days away. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know, and we will be back.

We stayed in the Luxury Rainforest Lodge for one night and it was amazing. Just the perfect romantic getaway in the rainforest. Candle light dinner, glow worms, private pool, spa bath. You can take a trip through the creek and then have a rest in one of the hammocks over the creek.

This is our fourth consecutive year coming to Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat. We spend seven nights in a Mountain View Lodge every year and just enjoy escaping the world, no phones, no kids, no business, no problems. The staff look after us like royalty and we cannot speak highly enough of this very special place that allows us to unwind and reconnect with each other. We will be here every year. We spent 5 nights here in this 'hideaway heaven'. I know there were other bungalows around the resort only because I saw a map, each one is hidden from the other, the only way we knew others were staying there was through the canopy of the forest at night we could see one light and one night we ran in to another couple whilst we were looking at glow worms by the creek (where the hammocks hang!) The two (precooked) evening meals and the 5 breakfasts we pre-ordered were delivered quietly when we were not around. This was an experience of a lifetime! The whole 'scenic rim' area the retreat is set in is filled with endless trails, waterfalls and beaut little cafes... of course after a day out bushwalking we returned to champagne and a spa in our bungalow... this was as good as it gets for me!!
Room Tip: Any bungalow is hidden from the next. We had a rainforest canopy one.
Scott V (Rainforest Canopy Bungalow)
Beautiful bungalow in the treetops! They have thought of everything you could possibly need. Amazing! A must visit destination to get away from everyday life!!
10 January 2018
Every single comfort has been thought of while staying here. Every need has been thought of and covered. The most relaxing and private retreat, i think we only saw about 3 people our entire stay.
The mountain view lodge is just gorgeous. The stone floored bathroom, huge granite tub and all of the luxurious products. The balcony and plunge pool kept us cool with our champagne in hand. The meals all supplied were absolutely by far the best meals we have eaten, all easily made up by us on the bbq or heated in microwave. Anything at all we needed or requested crystal creek supplied it. I will most definitely be back to try the snuggly fireplace and heated flooring in winter! Thank you Crystal Creek for the most beautiful memories we created for our honeymoon. Our wedding didn't quite go to plan due to wet weather, so we were able to re-create our romantic dream right there with stacks of tea light candles everywhere, our first dance again, and romantic candle lit dinner.
This place can be described as A slice of heaven pretty much in our own back yard! Highly recommend Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat to everyone!

I planned our trip to this place as a surprise on my wife’s birthday. This place is heaven. Everything about this place is just perfect. Being at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat gave us the opportunity to experience and do many of the things we don't get to do in our weekly lives in Brisbane. Pristine rainforest walks, beautiful accommodation, creek, bike riding and amazing meals with a view every time!! We loved it!!
We stayed in the Tamborine mountain view lodge for three nights after Christmas - absolute bliss! The room was stunning with uninterrupted views of the rainforest, a solar heated plunge pool, luxurious bathroom, kitchen and all the amenities we needed to disconnect. We chose to self cater using the BBQ to cook all meals and apart from doing the rainforest walk (watch out for leeches!) on the final morning did not leave the lodge. The only slight let down was the bedding which is in desperate need of replacing. Pillows were old and flat and the sheets were grey with age. This didn’t stop us having a great time and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you to Crystal Creek staff for a memorable stay!
Natalie H, Perth WA (Tamborine Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
Wasn't sure what I was signing up for, but this place is truly breathtaking, and so much more than what I could have imagined. A perfect combination of the secluded beauty of the Gold Coast hinterland and the luxurious accommodation, purpose built to be completely submerged in the divine beauty of nature that surrounded, Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat is a must visit place for all who want to enjoy the world heritage Australian rainforests. I was here with my wife for our 10th marriage anniversary and stayed two nights, and we were both in awe of the surroundings, spent a lot of time just enjoying the clouds coming in through the trees as the tropical rain interrupted the many walks available around the accommodation. I would highly recommend this retreat if you want to disconnect from the craziness from your everyday life and enjoy a few days appreciating the breath-taking world we live in. Mark, Stefan and Kathryn were fantastic hosts and made sure that we had everything we needed to make the stay memorable. 10/10
